Got a request for some snail earrings so I made some snail sticker sets to get used to drawing these li'l guys

he's friends with Tuna Pearl, they sometimes go fishing together, and when Tuna goes to sea, he looks after his lil kitty Ryapushka.

What's your opinion on Red Triangle Slugs? (Largest slug in Australia)

And have you ever kept any? I'm hoping to get a couple pretty soon so am looking for first hand accounts of keeping them that aren't those godawful copy paste care guides that have serious mistakes in them that make them untrustworthy (opening the floor to your possible red triangle slug keeping followers)

Australia does not import or export any creatures as pets, last I heard. I do not live in Australia so I have no legal way to obtain one if I wanted to (I do not.)

Triboniophorus largely eat lichens on tree trunks if I recall correctly. While some people in Australia do keep them, I doubt they’d be easy to keep alive long-term and probably hard to breed. I haven’t done much research on keeping them since they’re not really relevant to me though.

I did try to keep some Caracolus marginella snails from Florida once, which are largely lichen grazers as well. I might’ve kept them too cool which could’ve also been a factor, but they seemed to suffer & perish on a diet low in lichen even though I tried to offer as much as I could.

I don’t have GALS but Caracolus are native to where I am, so I’ve hundreds of C. marginella friends… they’ve gotten inside the house sometimes to eat cardboard.

Banded Caracol (Caracolus marginella)

The Banded Caracol is a medium-sized snail from Puerto Rico ('caracol' means snail in Spanish). Interestingly, a small population of Banded Caracols have established themselves in the Miami area in Florida. How they made it from Puerto Rico to Florida remains unclear. One theory states that some were attached to pieces of trees that were ripped out of the ground and blown across the ocean via hurricane winds. Whether or not this is actually possibly is disputed. These snails are tree snails and their diet is believed to consist primarily of the fungi that grow on the trees they live. Although the Florida population is nonnative, they aren't considered to be invasive since they appear to be causing no negative side effects to the environment. Etsy | DeviantArt | Instagram

🌙hello!! i’m finn, he/they. i’m not entirely sure what i’m doing, but what i do know is that these are my snails and i love them to bits. i’ve been keeping giant snails since 2017, but i’ve loved snails my whole life, ever since i was a little kid.
